I've been meaning to post about my new car. Laura's grandfather decided (wisely) to stop driving. So he gave us his car. And it is a stone cold pimp-mobile. Sorta. I now am the proud driver of a 1995 Cadillac DeVille Concours.
It pretty much looks like this, except without the ice. I do live in Florida after all.
I'll try and post a picture of my actual car sometime, but you get the idea. It's big, powerful (32 valve Northstar V-8 Gas Sucker), and may be the only Caddy with an Apple sticker on the back window. And, most importantly, it had 100k miles less than the 97 Jetta I had been driving.
Today at work it was dubbed "The Green Monster". Coincidentally, Ali already has the t-shirt to match.
The "God is so awesome" part is that four days after Laura's grandparents mentioned giving the Caddy to us, one of our close friend's car died. Like not worth the money to tow it dead. He who also has no money and is trying to save up to get vocal chord sugery (more on that later). So we got the Caddy and could pass our old Jetta along to him.
Doesn't God just look out for His peeps or what?
i hope you've installed a huge sub in the trunk... to scare away alligators of course.

Heh. I should. Malcolm and his clan will actually be down in La Belle, FL so we are travelling down to see him. But an East Coast swing would be grand!

I looked for some images of it through Google images and I have to say that you sure have one awesome pimp mobile right there. I do hope that you'll be able to share the pic of your Caddy soon.
