There it is, in all it's shiny, saliva-covered glory. Mom was brushing Ali's hair and she said, "Let's pretend that my tooth is loose." So Laura said something like, "Oh, my little baby is growing up" and blah blah blah. Well, wouldn't you know. Turns out it's pretty far along, too. I don't give it more than a few days. Were your parents the "let you play with it until it falls out" kind or the "tie a piece of floss around the tooth and pull" kind?
Just give her a Now and Later candy and have her chew it. That did the trick for me as a kid.

My dad did the string/floss thing...once. Apparently, the tooth wasn't ready, as my immediate and shrill scream seemed to indicate. There was blood. It wasn't pretty. After that, we exercised the patience method.

Some parents do the string method in a really unique way. Some would use the classic door and some would even use toys like RC cars or rockets. Anyway, to answer your question, they're the "let you play with it until it falls out" kind.
